Recent cyberattacks across the federal government and its partners in the public and private sectors highlight the U.S. Government’s need for cybersecurity professionals to help protect their networks from data breaches by malicious actors within our country and, more so, by foreign cyber threats.

There is no doubt that this national pandemic has changed nearly every aspect of American lives, particularly those ‒ like you ‒ in the workforce who have either been laid off, downsized, forced to take early retirement, or let go permanently. For the past 7 months, many of us have been bunkered down ‘quarantine-style’ due to the coronavirus pandemic. Before the pandemic only about 5 or 6 percent of the U.S. workforce worked from home, but today there’s roughly 37 to 45 percent teleworking. And when COVID-19 is finally behind us and our economy is back to full production, working from home will no longer be seen as a perk, but instead, a critical weapon in our fight against future pandemics
